ABS
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene is an amorphous copolymer consisting of the three components Butadiene, Arcylnitrile and Styrene.
This engineering plastic is one of the most common materials and is often used in the manufacture of household and consumer products. Especially common in the automotive and electrical industries.
ABS is very suitable for varnishing and coating. Chrome-plated attachments on the vehicle are often made of this material.
ABS is a proven material for 3D printing as a 3D filament.
It can be well sanded, sawed and drilled.
ABS is a rigid plastic with high strength, which is resistant to oils and greases and has a high temperature resistance. Only the UV resistance is better with ASA.
ABS is often used. You can finish it well afterwards; by grinding and drilling. And you can varnish it.
ABS has high strength and temperature resistance.
ABS is a hydrophilic material. We recommend tempering the welding rod before processing for this reason.
You can use all standard welding equipment. A hot air tool, an injectiweld or extruder.
ABS is easy to post-process. It can be sanded, painted and galvanized.
