Organic bio cultures and plants can prosper on GrowLay.
 

GrowLay White is a biological and compostable material. Water or nutrient solutions can be bound in the pores of the open-cell structure. Grasses, mosses, fungi, lichen and other organic cultures can then grow on the microcapillary nutrient medium on the printed object. The finest mould can grow through the pores and grass seeds hold in the structure and the roots grow firmly into the object. Even lichen thrives on the material.
