Due to its high temperature resistance, this plastic is suitable for applications where PLA already gets soft. The heat distortion temperature of ABS at about 100 ° C and it is more impact-resistant and lighter than PLA.
Upon cooling, ABS shrinks more than PLA. The greater and faster the temperature difference drops, the more ABS gets deformed (warp). We therefore recommend the usage of a Heated Bed. You may preheat the plate to 80-110 ° C.
Because of the warpage, the first layer has to stick to the surface. You will get a strong bond using ABS-paint or print on a PEI plate or a raft.
High-precision prints are achievable with our ABS. And the beautiful colors make the use limitless.
ABS is resistant to oil and grease, alkalis and fuel.
ABS dissolves in acetone but not in Limonen.
If you use a Dual-Extruder with HiPS as support material, you can remove the HiPS with Limonen. The ABS structure remains intact.
ABS can be welded, glued and painted or galvanized after pretreatment.
The ABS filament is supplied wound on a spool, for smooth printing processes without knotting of the material as it is possible with coils.

This wire is primarily used for 3D Printer and Rapid Prototyper.
If foam comes out of the nozzle, the material has to be dried at ~ 75°C for two hours.
